The Journey
Soul Talk Studios was started by Dr. Nishtha Gupta. She took up Psychology in high school as a replacement for Mathematics (as she loathed the subject). Little did she know, she would resonate with Psychology so much that it would become her choice of career.

She further enrolled into an undergraduate & masters degree in Psychology. Post completion, she landed up with a job to work as a corporate trainer. Although everything about the job was great & promising, it was taking her away from the role of a psychologist.
Her inner self felt unhappy & unauthentic. Hence, she decided to take a risk, dive into uncertainty & pursue her passion
of being a psychologist.

She quit her job immediately and in time conferred a doctorate in psychology (Ph.D). Now the time felt right to make a blueprint & start working on it. And that's how Soul Talk Studios was started. It was named after the idea that every person that reaches out to us should have a true, soulful experience. It's beyond a business, it's based on a true calling. Everything was done from scratch and it took time & efforts but things started taking shape. And now, she's on this journey to shape lives through healing and growth.

The mission through Soul Talk Studios is to provide value & help to every individual we connect with. And to help people grow & reach their maximum potential. Soul Talk Studios welcomes you to be a part of this journey. To sit back, relax, and find soulful solutions.

How long does the entire process take ?
What should I expect during my first session ?
Will my conversation be confidential ?
Step 1: Consultation Session- It is mainly focused to understand the issues, concerns, or needs of the client. This is when we set a common objective or an end goal to be achieved which is subject to review as the sessions progress. It lasts for about one session. Step 2: History Assessment- This includes understanding relevant information that has led to the present situation, important details of the past or any other important queries that we may have. Step 3: Intervention- This is when you will be introduced to the formulated solutions or actions to be taken to reach progress or the end goal in the upcoming sessions. Step 4: Termination- This is the last session when it is realized that sessions are no longer required. The aim is for the individuals to build tools and resources to maintain their best selves even after the sessions if they keep doing the work. The client is briefed and given closure information.
Often, people have a misconception that you need to be diagnosed with a mental illness to seek help. That's not true! Seeking help & support is for everyone. You can book a session if you're feeling low or stuck in life, for any day-to-day issues, or just to talk about anything that bothers. In addition, having anger issues, social media or substance addiction, negative mental well-being due to illness could be other reasons for you to connect.
Typically, a session lasts for about an hour.
Every person has a different need, goal, or situation. So, it is client specific. Depending upon the individual and the goals we set together, the process is planned. This is a process of changing old patterns to healthy, productive ones. It also depends on the individual's willingness to change and implement the tools and techniques provided. But we try to make the process as short as possible for faster effectiveness and self-reliance.
First session is typically a consultation session where all your needs and concerns are addressed. And then together, we formulate an objective for the process. This serves as a base to start with the sessions and helps in planning for the entire process ahead.
Absolutely. Client confidentiality and trust are paramount to our practice, and we adhere to strict ethical guidelines. In addition, the individuals are made to feel respected and comfortable throughout.
What should I expect after the each session takes place?
You may encounter a different mindset or emotions after each session. You may feel motivated, relieved, happy or even feel low or challenged as you would be made to face your own hidden patterns and would be expected to push outside of your comfort zone to achieve growth and maximum potential. But everything is for the betterment of the individual and overall leads to the attainment of the goal.
What should I expect once the process is terminated ?
The aim is for the individuals to seek help to learn and change but to not depend on it. So, the individuals are made to built their own tools and resources to maintain their best selves if they keep doing the work even after the sessions are terminated. They are taught to be self reliant in their journey ahead and the sessions are terminated when the need is no longer required.
What is the difference between a Psychiatrist and a Psychologist ?
While Psychiatrist prescribe medication as their first line of treatment, Psychologists focus on behavioral and emotional problems through different intervention techniques such as therapy, counseling. They do not prescribe medication. You can see a psychiatrist if you have a severe health condition that may require medication such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder or are in any such immediate danger. Whereas, you can consult a psychologist if you are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems such as depression, anxiety, trauma that can be addressed through interventions such as therapy or counseling.
